3 Secret Places — Hobbit Hole, Mammoth & Cliff Face

Three obscure points of interest: a Lord of the Rings-style hill home, a buried woolly mammoth skeleton, and a tragic half-carved face in a cliff.

Emplacement Validé

Grizzlies East (hill home), Ambarino mountains (mammoth), Moonstone Pond (cliff face).

Notes d'enquête

- The Mysterious Hill Home: in Grizzlies East, northeast of Bacchus Station, find an earth-covered structure built into a hill with a rounded wooden door and a turtle symbol — it resembles a Hobbit hole. You cannot enter, but Arthur sketches it. - The Mammoth Skeleton: deep in the snowy Ambarino mountains between Deadboot Creek and Spider Gorge, uncover a massive fossilized woolly mammoth half-buried in the snow. - The Face in the Cliff: near Moonstone Pond in the Grizzlies, look up to see a huge partly-carved stone face. At the base hangs the sculptor's corpse with a note explaining he was driven mad by the woman who rejected him, whom he was carving.

Théorie de l'Affaire

The cliff face ties into the Poisonous Trail treasure — Map 2 is hidden in a dead tree near it. Worth visiting both together.

Route d'Investigation

Q: Can I enter the Hobbit hole? A: No — it is a sketch-only point of interest. Q: What's the story behind the carved face? A: A sculptor carved his rejecter into the cliff, then took his own life at its base.
